A Prototype Community Aggregration Site
This site is a prototype community non-profit aggregation site.Goals include:
- Allow multiple community groups (e.g. churches, libraries, cultural and educational groups) to have separate/aggregated web space
- Each group with a separate "Landing Page"
- 90% user administered, to allow users to add their own content of all types.
- Allow users to comment on one another's posts/ web logs/forums.
- Separate, aggregated and possible arbitrarily co-mingled community calendars.
- Electronic Newsletter distribution
- User web logs (Blogs)
- Optional User Profiles for all users, with group affiliations
- Job board (aggregated)
- Spam Control for all components of the board
- Usage tracking statistics
- Page caching for increased performance
- Group forums for each group
- Allow donations to each group
- Sponsored links and/or
- Google/Yahoo/MSN Advertisements
- Photo galleries by group (?)
- Multilevel user access and control (e.g. users, authors administrators)
- Multilevel content control (allow logged in users to have access to more content than anonymous users)
- Option to translate into multiple languages
- Allow the public to contact members/administrators without revealing those user's email addresses.
- Automated backups (I don't quite know how to do this yet).
- Search Engine Optimization
